2018年，张桂梅曾肺部患�。墒俏瞬坏⑽蠼萄В由缍反〗萄�，几次昏迷在课堂，在病情加重后张桂梅两次手术都选择在了假期。
In 2018, Zhang Guimei had a lung disease, but she made light of her life and insisted on teaching with illness, just so as not to delay teaching. Several times she even fainted in the classroom. After her illness worsened, Zhang Guimei chose to have her two operations on vacation.
她收留了几十名弃婴，并将她们当自己亲生闺女一样照顾。几十年她救助了无数生活困窘的孩子，也将一些家贫而辍学的女孩追回了学校……
She took in dozens of abandoned babies and took care of them as her own children. Over the past few decades, she has helped countless children in distress, and also brought some poor girls who dropped out of school back to school.

张挂梅的善举枚不胜举。她用自己瘦小的身躯践行了师者仁心，谱写了人民教师“捧着一颗心来，不带半根草去”的赞歌，用自己的生命诠释了人民教师“春蚕到死丝方�。娉苫依崾几伞钡奈按�。
Zhang Guamei’s good deeds are countless. She practices the teacher’s benevolence and writes the praises of the teachers --- “Come with a whole heart and go without even a half straw” with her thin body. She interprets the greatness of teachers, just as the saying goes: “Till the end of life a silk worm keeps spinning silk; till burning itself out a candle goes on lighting us” with her own life.

她和无数乡村教师一样朴实无华，以致于不了解她的人绝对不会想到，就这样一位瘦小的老太太竟会是全国唯一一所全免费的女子高级中学的校长，在她和同事的努力下，一千六百多女孩走进了大学校门。
She is as simple as countless rural teachers, so that people who don't know her will never think that such a thin old lady should be the only headmaster of a free women's high school in China. With the joint efforts of her and her colleagues, more than 1600 girls have entered the university.
